Jody Murray’s men faced Antrim on Saturday in a game that changed venue 3 times at the hands of bad weather and Storm Dave!
With a gael force wind, Antrim played with it to their advantage for the first half and unfortunately for Westmeath, put up a score of 2-17 to Westmeath’s 1-07 by the break.
Even with the wind in the second half, Murray’s side just couldn’t make up the deficit, leaving the final score Westmeath 3-22 to Antrim’s 1-12.
They face Kerry next weekend in a Westmeath venue to be confirmed.
