Gaelteacht Grants Available

We are delighted to announce the rollout of the Gaeltacht Bursaries initiative for our GAA, LGFA and camogie members for 2026.

Please see below the MS forms link which can be completed by the parent or guardian of child within your club, who will attending Irish Language College in 2026 and who may wish to avail of a bursary which are available to registered members of Westmeath LGFA, GAA (Hurling or Football) and Camogie, hyperlink below:

Please note that a parent/guardian, can submit one application per child(student) and can only apply under one code only e.g.

Please also note there is one bursary of up to 250 euro per code, with several 100-euro bursaries also available in each.

All applicants will be required to attend for interview (As Gaelige) in Cusack Park, Mullingar in the coming weeks and dates for interviews will be confirmed following the close of applications.

Applicants will be notified of interview dates by parent’s or guardian’s email. Should an applicant be unable to attend on a date or time specified, please notify the Irish and Cultural Officer email in advance: Irishculturalofficer.westmeath@gaa.ie

All applicants (students) who complete an interview will be notified of the outcome via email from the Irish and Cultural Officer ( irishculturalofficer.westmeath@gaa.ie), to the parent or guardian email, submitted in the MS form application above.

All questions in this MS Form Application are mandatory and the date for receipt of completed applications is Wednesday March 18th 2026 by 8pm.
