Humphrey Kelliher Millstreet Cup Antrim 1-9 Westmeath 10-15
A third Dermot Earley Cup in a row was by Westmeath in emphatic nature last Saturday in Rochfortbridge. Continuing the run of form displayed in the previous four rounds, Westmeath won the game in convincing fashion over the Model County. Afterwards, Westmeath Senior Football selector Emmet McDonnell presented the trophy to captain Patrick Wallace.
The Humphrey Kelliher team made the long trip to Dunsilly to face Antrim and also came away with an emphatic victory. With three wins from their five games, this meant Westmeath finished in 3rd place in their group.
Well done to all players on both teams for their efforts throughout the year and to mentors Anthony Malone, Joe Fallon, Tommy Keena, Austin Bradley, John McDonnell and Darach Fleming for their tremendous work on coaching the group.
