Poc Fada is taking place on Annaverna in the Cooley Mountains (just north of Dundalk) on Monday 3rd August. To get there, take junction 19 off the M1 and follow the signs. There is a park and ride service available from Lumpers Bar (A91 FN2W).
There is a parade of all participants at 11:15, with each event starting thereafter. The Senior Hurling event will commence at 11:30 whilst the U16 Hurling event will start at 12:15. All presentations are expected to take place at 3:30.
Spectators in attendance can walk the trail adjacent to the course while the event is on. Be mindful to dress appropriately for the walk (including footwear) though as it is across rough terrain and requires a moderate level of fitness to cover. The weather is likely to be windy and there may be a need for rain gear also and there are refreshments available to purchase at the starting point in Annaverna.
