Amidst Storm Dave, our Minor Hurlers put on an exhibition of scoring and came out on top of their battle v Kerry.
Ger Beehan’s side were ready and from the start began their scoring. Aidan Doyle opened the scoring while MJ Long raised the green flag to put us ahead!! Kerry took their chances but Conor Raleigh kept the scoreboard ticking over before Dara Geary’s goal edged us in front even more. More scores from Raleigh, Tom Shaw and Geary left the score at the break 2-11 and 1-06.
Beehan’s lads kept the pressure on and kept the scoreboard busy with scores from Raleigh, Beehan, Williams (captain!), Shaw, Wrafter and Gaffney. Dara Geary’s goal and Eoghan Beehan’s last minute point finished the scoring of the day leaving the final score Westsmeath 3-26 to Kerry’s 2-10.
