Well done to our Senior Hurlers who secured a 10 point win over London in Ruislip at the weekend. In what was their second visit to Ruislip this year, the lads showed great determination and grit to grind out the win despite the home-side crawling back a draw after 17 minutes of play.
Eoin Keyes impressive 1-03 in the first half was the difference as the sides went in at half time with Westmeath leading by 6. In the second half, Kevin O’Brien’s men were in control and the win looked comfortable! It was great to see Clonkill man, Darragh Egerton back on the playing field after an extensive run of injuries.
Final score Westmeath 1-22 to London’s 0-15.
Next up is Carlow on Saturday at 4pm with Westmeath Camogie playing Meath before hand in TEG Cusack Park!
