It is with great regret that we announced the resignation of Joe Fortune as the Westmeath Senior Hurling Manager, effective last week. Joe Fortune has been a formidable manager, providing leadership, dedication, and a passion for the game that has significantly elevated Westmeath Hurling. Under his guidance, our team has achieved significant milestones and demonstrated remarkable progress, reflecting his unwavering commitment and expertise. Joe’s strategic vision and relentless pursuit of excellence have left an indelible mark on our team and the broader hurling community.
We are deeply grateful for the invaluable contributions Joe has made to our hurling community. His ability to inspire players, foster teamwork, and cultivate a winning mentality has been instrumental in our success. Joe’s legacy will continue to inspire both current players and future generations, serving as a testament to what can be achieved with dedication and hard work.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Joe’s backroom team, often described as the people who bring it all together. While there are too many individuals to mention by name, and we would not want to risk leaving anyone out, please know that the Westmeath GAA community is entirely indebted to your service. Your hard work, support, and dedication behind the scenes have been crucial to our achievements.
We wish Joe all the best in his future endeavours and thank him for everything he has done for Westmeath Hurling. His impact on our team and the sport will be remembered for years to come.
