Congratulations to St.Loman’s and Westmeath ladies football star Lucy McCartan who was named the Under 19 Women’s International Player of the Year at the FAI Awards on Sunday night.
The multi-talented Mullingar youngster saw off competition from Niamh Farrelly and Alex Kavanagh to land the prestigious award.
McCartan usually lines out at corner forward for the Lake County and was to the fore last year when we claimed National League Division 2 honours and reached the Leinster final for the third consecutive year.
