Adrian Murray Memorial Hurling Tournament 2018

The annual Adrian Murray Tournament is being hosted by Westmeath again this year with games running this Saturday in Raharney. In previous years this competition catered for U16s but this year, for the first time, it is U15 County Squads that are taking part – the change mainly coming from the fact Minor is now U17 with other competitions being realigned given this is the case. Westmeath take on Meath and Antrim take on Kildare in the two semifinals with both games getting underway at 12.00noon. The winners meet in the Final at 1.30 with the Shield Final running at 1.30 also. The Tournament each year is a fitting tribute to Adrian Murray who was a great servant to Westmeath GAA over many years. We wish all teams the very best of luck in Saturday’s competition.

This Saturday sees the Westmeath U14 hurlers travel to Waterford for the Sonny Walsh Competition and the U16s travel to Ferns in Wexford to compete for the Michael Foley Cup and again, we wish both these age groups the best of luck for Saturday’s games

Westmeath U14, U15 and U16 Hurling Squads at a camp in Clonkill in June. Also included are county players Aonghus Clarke, Joey Boyle and Brendan Doyle along with Camp Coordinator Tomas Mount. All Squads wished well in the ‘end of year’ Tournaments running this weekend including the U15 Adrian Murray Memorial Tournament being hosted by Westmeath
